Anybody But Carson

I don't know about the rest of you but I'm tired of NO representation in Congress for those of us who live in the 7Th Congressional District. Our Congressman Andre Carson is skipping through sessions hand in hand with the Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi. Andre Carson will not cast a vote unless Speaker Pelosi informs him how to vote.
We deserve better than having a California Congresswomen make the decisions on whats best for Indianapolis and Indiana.
If you agree with me then I have a political opinion yard sign that you can display in your yard. Its message is simple it reads, "Remember in November It's as easy as...ABC ANYBODY BUT CARSON Together lets take back America. This message is also available as a bumper sticker.
These signs were commissioned by Hoosiers For Honesty in Government and are ready for distribution. HFHIG is asking for a donation so more can be ordered but if money is tight they understand and have agreed to the distribution them anyway. The recommended donation is $4.00 for the sign and $2.00 for the bumper stickers.
The E-mail address to obtain either is Anybodybutcarson@aol.com.
Contact the e-mail sight and someone will make arrangements to get the sign or sticker to you.
Please spread the word...Remember in November and shout out... Anybody But Carson.

Who is the Indy Chicken? The people behind the bird.

http://http://nuvo.net/articles/web_special__who_is_the_indy_chicken_the_people_behind_the_bird_/

NUVO has a good story about the Indy Chicken on its web page. Sources tell me that one paper finally as has gotten it right. One thing over looked in the article, as of last week, sixty two citizen/voters in Indianapolis are involved.
Look out city government, local leadership may get the bird come election time.

STOP THE PEA SHAKES NOW

I attended a Town Hall Meeting at Broadripple HS. A question was asked about illegal gambling in Indianapolis. The question was asked of Sheriff Anderson. , The question went something like this,
“What will you do about gambling in Indianapolis Pea Shake houses, Poker etc? This activity fosters prostitution, drug and alcohol use and crime in general.”
Sheriff Anderson stated that it should be reported and that it would be investigated.
When Sheriff Anderson came down from the stage we talked about the pea shake houses and discussed the arrest of a poker room operator last spring. Sheriff Anderson denied any knowledge of the bust (poker room , MC vice made the bust) or of the game (pea shake) in general. When asked about Law Enforcement Officers (LEO) being told to avoid pea shake houses he denied and knowledge of this order. At this point Sheriff Anderson turned me over to Colonel Kerry Forestal.
Colonel Forestal told me that beginning Jan.1, that all illegal gambling would be investigated.
This is interesting, I have talked to LEOs and I hear the same comment from all of them. The LEOs state that they have been told to stay away from the pea shake houses.
I thought about this for awhile. This is the conclusion that I’ve come to.
The City County Council (CCC) members (some) have complained to Mayor Bart Peterson. The Mayor has told the IPD Chief to lay off pea shake houses. The IPD Chief has passed on the orders to the rank and file on the police force, the LEOs. Sheriff Anderson has eyes and ears on the street. MCS Deputies talk to IPD officers. Anderson has to know. If indeed he did not know then whose in charge of that department? The buck stops with Anderson in the Sheriffs Office.
Bottom line. The CCC is supporting illegal gambling in Indianapolis. IPD and MCS deputies (adm staff) are providing security and informing the “House” when something may come down.
Our Mayor is up to his ears in this mess. The administration telling Law enforcement to look the other way and to stay away from pea shake houses is wrong.
This meeting happened before the merger. The arrest at the pea shake was a start. Reports on this blog make me question the sincerity of leadership in IMPD.
This is the time to put the pressure on and keep it on. Clean up this mess. We as FLEO’s can coordinate pressure on local Law enforcement Leadership. You guys know who I’m talking to. Indy Chicken, CAUSE and others lets do something NOW.

Gray Matter http://http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070128/LOCAL19/701280442

The Indianapolis Star has compiled a rather lengthily article on Monroe Gray. Gray is the current and past President of the Marion County City County Council.
This blogger was dumbfounded when the Council elected Gray President and after these allegations, one can only hope that they correct their mistake.
Indy Undercover and Advance Indiana have both posted the story on their blogs. Curiously TDW (Taking down Words) the Democrat Blob hosted by Jen Wagner has been silent on this subject, as of this posting. We wonder if the powers to be have sent word to remain so or maybe she is preparing the democrat response. Time will tell.
