Gray Matter http://http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070128/LOCAL19/701280442

The Indianapolis Star has compiled a rather lengthily article on Monroe Gray. Gray is the current and past President of the Marion County City County Council.
This blogger was dumbfounded when the Council elected Gray President and after these allegations, one can only hope that they correct their mistake.
Indy Undercover and Advance Indiana have both posted the story on their blogs. Curiously TDW (Taking down Words) the Democrat Blob hosted by Jen Wagner has been silent on this subject, as of this posting. We wonder if the powers to be have sent word to remain so or maybe she is preparing the democrat response. Time will tell.

Three way race between Mayor Peterson, Sheriff Anderson and Monroe Gray. Nominate your choice for The Egghead Award today,

Me? The Indy Chicken?

The blog Witch at TDW has threatened to expose me as the Indy Chicken. Jen also expressed her desire to expose my “Criminal Record” regarding tax issues at a failed business.
I feel that this needs to be addressed openly and truthfully.

The State of Indiana charged that the business had sales tax due. This business had actually overpaid the amount of sales tax it had collected in previous months. The money paid in error exceeded the amount of money that the state claimed was owed. The overpayment actually exceeded what the state claimed was due for both sales tax and withholding tax.
Bottom line, the combined taxes were less than the overpayment. The State was unwilling to adjust and had me arrested.

The case never went before the Trial Judge. The investigators for the State were unable to tell the Prosecutor how much money was owed. We had the records to prove our argument. The Prosecutor dropped the charges and expressed to my attorney and me that the charges should never have been filed in the first place.

I believe that Jen Wagner is working on behalf of local elected democrat officials. They are fishing for something, anything, to silence the Indy Chicken.
His message is, as I see it. Our city needs to respond to the crime now. Waiting for the State to step in is not the answer. I agree with the Indy Chicken’s message and I have posted so on various blogs.
City Leadership knows that the citizens of Indianapolis are responding to the Indy Chicken.

Here are the facts as I see them:
Our Mayor is a Democrat.
The President of the City Council is a Democrat.
Most members of the CCC that I have posted about are Democrats.
The Marion County Sheriff is a Democrat.
Jen Wagner aka TDW (Taking down words blog), is a Democrat Operative and is employed by the Democrat Party.
I am a Republican.

Mayor Peterson keeps referring to the fact that we haven’t released a jail prisoner early for months.
That’s great! But why aren't we taking more criminals off the street? If we have jail space why can’t we fight this plague? Mayor Peterson stated in his push for the consolidation that he would increase the amount of officers on the street. He didn’t. Did Mayor Peterson lie? The Indy Chicken thinks so. We have fewer officers on the streets now than before the merger. Several neighborhoods are going un-patrolled. Indianapolis has a serious crime problem. Our murder rate is up by over 50% and we are tracking a repeat of that number right now.

On TDW, Jen has openly expressed that Indianapolis has a crime problem. That’s what the Indy Chicken is stating.
Who’s the hypocrite? The Chicken? Or the mudslinger for the Democrat Party?

If you agree with the Chicken do something about it
If you agree with the Democrat Operative Blog Witch Jen Wagner, well...go a head and stick your head in the sand and see what gets accomplished.

We can attack the rising crime now. But Indianapolis needs help. Lord knows that Mayor Peterson is doing next to nothing. Got ideas? Get involved contact the Indy Chicken, I did.
The Indy Chicken has a web Site, www.TheIndyChicken.com. Or you can e-mail indychicken@yahoo.com
I’ll be praying for Indy, God knows we need help.
I will not confirm or deign the accusations.

Is Mayor Peterson the right man for the job?

http://www.indystar.com/apps/pbcs.dll/article?AID=/20070119/COLUMNISTS19/701190480
Matt Tully has an interesting article in Friday’s Indianapolis Star “Peterson's full coffers put lid on GOP's hopes”.
Matt writes about Mayor Peterson’s fat pockets. He predicts that the Republican’s won’t be able to field a qualified candidate to run against Peterson. Tully refers to Peterson as “ The unbeatable mayor” and goes on to report that Mayor Peterson has 2.5 million in the bank.
I find it odd that Tully hardly mentions Indy’s escalating crime and the fact that Indy will soon have the honor of being the Murder Capital of America. Politics is a strange creature, so many think being Democrat or Republican is more important then saving our youth and maintaining Indianapolis as a safe place to live.
Mayor Peterson keeps referring to the fact that we haven’t released a jail prisoner early for months. If we have these extra beds, why aren't we taking more criminals off the street? If we have the jail space why not use it? Mayor Peterson is doing nothing to combat crime
When I was a child our city was segregated. African Americans lived in one part of town, Whites lived in another. I went to IPS and never had an African American classmate until 7 Th grade. Now most neighborhoods schools and churches are integrated. I think that all our youth are important? Drugs lead to Prostitution and theft. Prostitution and Theft leads back to Drugs and death surrounds all.
Bart Peterson has 2.5 million in the bank to run for Mayor of Indianapolis. Are you willing to sell the souls of your loved ones so he can play Mayor.
This isn't a Black or White thing. This is a community thing and we need a change before it’s too late.
Whoever the Republican Party Slates for Mayor needs your consideration. Do you want a safe place for your loved ones?
